Silver Lake Marketplace · LoanIQ at checkout

Send your agent shopping. It can fill the cart. It can't sign for you.

Shop our partner merchants yourself, or let your AI agent do it. Your agent carries its own key, with the limit you set. Financing is decided by the same rule that answers a Silver Lake prequalification, on the same IBM i system of record. And no terms are accepted until you approve them.

Agents are starting to shop. Most checkouts can't tell who sent them.

Personal agents now search, compare and buy. Some stores block them outright. Others let anything in. Either way the shopper's financing options shrink to whatever card is on file, and nobody can show later who agreed to what.

The usual agent checkout

Anything gets in, one way to pay

  • The store can't tell a verified agent from a scraper
  • Agents default to the card on file; financing never shows up
  • An agent can accept terms the person never saw
  • No limit on what an agent spends once it's inside
  • After a dispute, nobody can prove who authorized the purchase

At the Silver Lake Marketplace

Verified agents, your terms, on the record

  • An agent proves who it is and who sent it before it sees a price
  • Financing offers arrive in the agent's checkout, with the full cost shown
  • You approve the terms yourself, every time
  • Your spending limit is enforced in code, not negotiated
  • Every financed order ends in a hash-chained acceptance record

One store, two kinds of shopper.

Browse as a person, or switch to the agent view to see what an agent receives: structured catalog data, live price, stock and delivery dates. Financing terms are shown only to you, at checkout.

Six shoppers, six agents, one governed checkout.

Pick a shopper and play. Playback stops when a person has to decide. Every step lands on an append-only ledger, and each entry carries the hash of the one before it, computed in your browser as you watch.

An illustrated walkthrough: shoppers, prices and terms are examples, decided by the same rule as the prequalification on our home page. It runs in your browser; nothing is submitted, sold or charged. To try the real checkout, shop the live store ↗.

Not open or closed. A decision per agent.

One large retailer blocks shopping agents. Another invites them in. Our merchants set it agent by agent. Change a setting here, then replay a scenario above: the checkout obeys it.

BlockedRefused at the door and logged. Nothing reaches the store or the financing engine.
BrowseMay read the catalog, prices and stock. May not open a checkout. An agent without a key can browse, at most.
TransactMay build a cart within the shopper's spending limit and end date, enforced across every cart. It can't pay: the cart goes to the shopper.

“I didn't want to pick a side on agents. I wanted to know which ones were at my door, and decide for myself.”

Elena Brooks · Owner · Alder & Pine Home

Your agent brings the cart. Only you see the terms, and only you take them.

Financing goes through four steps. Each one names who does it, and what no agent is allowed to do.

1 · Offer

Decided on the record

The financing router asks LoanIQ. The same deterministic rule as a prequalification returns approved, declined or refer, and the tier sets the terms.

Owner · LoanIQ on IBM i

No agent decides credit or shops for a better answer.

2 · Show

Full cost, up front

Every offer travels with its disclosures: amount, APR, payment, number of payments and total cost. Card and partner options sit beside it.

Owner · The checkout

An agent can't hide an option or strip a disclosure.

3 · Approve

You accept the terms

The cart comes to you. You see the offers, choose one and approve it on your own device. Your agent learns only the outcome.

Owner · You

An agent never accepts financing on your behalf.

4 · Record

Written once

The acceptance record names the agent, who sent it, the delegation, the terms shown and your approval, chained to the entry before it.

Owner · Silver Lake system of record

Nothing is overwritten. A cancellation is a new entry.

Prequal, home loans, checkout. One governed crossing.

The checkout is the third door onto the same engine. The rule that answers a prequalification decides a point-of-sale offer. The people who own a mortgage decision own the borderline ones here. The ledger is the same ledger.

PrequalBinds no one. An agent can ask; the rule answers in seconds.
CheckoutBinds a purchase. An agent fills the cart; you approve the terms.
Home loanBinds a family's biggest decision. Agents coordinate; four people decide.

“We didn't build a store. We let the engine that already knew our lending meet the agents our customers are starting to send.”

Ray Mendez · IT Director · Silver Lake Financial Group

The Marketplace checkout sits in front of an open-source store the merchant owns. The store stays the record for catalog, stock and orders; Silver Lake's IBM i stays the record for the credit decision.

Shopping by agent, on the record.

Can my AI agent buy from the Marketplace?
Yes, within the limit you set. Your agent can search, compare and build a cart. It can't pay: the cart comes to you to review on your own device, where you choose how to pay. It never sees financing terms and can never accept them for you.
What happens to an agent without a key?
It can look at the catalog, at most. It can never open a checkout or reach the financing engine, and every refusal is logged.
Who decides whether I can finance a purchase?
The same deterministic LoanIQ rule on our IBM i system of record that answers a prequalification. Borderline requests go to a person on our credit desk. No agent decides credit.
What if my agent tries to spend more than I allowed?
The checkout refuses it. The store enforces your limit across every cart, so splitting a purchase doesn't get around it. Your agent has to come back to you.
What if I don't qualify for Silver Lake financing?
You're shown whatever else the merchant accepts, such as card or a pay-later plan, each with its full cost before you approve anything.
Is this a real store?
It's a demonstration. Silver Lake Financial Group and Alder & Pine Home are fictitious. The store runs live in test mode at shop.silverlakefinancialgroup.com: people and AI agents can really browse, build a cart and check out, but nothing is really sold or lent and no real money moves. The walkthrough on this page is illustrated.
